NEW ZEALAND DAIRY PRODUCE.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCLITION. ] Wellington, Friday. The Government have decided to render assistance to the butter and cheese industry, and with that view the Premier has written to the Agent-General that the best means to that end would be the importation of a duly-qualified expert, who could instruct manufacturers in the best methods of preparation of their products to suit the English market. He requests Sir D. Bell to secure the services of such a person. The salary to be given, the Premier thinks, should not exceed £300 per annum, and reasonable travelling expenses, with three years' engagement and a free passage out and home, if, it the expiration of the term, the pers'-:.. should decide to return, although the Premier has no doubt that should he prove a success his occupation would be permanent.
