TE KOOTIS CRUSADE.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Friday. Te Koott appears to be the high priest of a new Maori worship which is being raised on tho principles of Mormonism. He and two of his followers arrived yesterday in the Wairarapa, to the great astonishment of the local Maoris, who want to know " why he should come there without being asked." It is said that Te Kooti makes every place he goes to rather "hot," and the Maoris themselves have expressed the suspicion that there is a movement being attempted by Te Kooti to unite the Maoris in a demonstration against the Europeans. lam informed that it is more likely that Te Kooti and his set have "shifted" in order to be cftit of the way of the Native Minister, who is travelling through the North Island.
