At the Official Assignee's office yesterday, Thomas Trewheellar, baker, Hamilton, made the usual bankrupt's statement. Hie business had been carried on successfully for many years, and he had spent over £1000 in improvements. . The depression and 'other 1 causes, including illness, ever, had had a bad. effect, whilst he had lost so much in paying interest upon his outlay for machinery and buildings that he had been compelled to file a petition of insolvency.- His unsecured lirbihties were £416 9s lOdj and his assets £796 19s. A mortgage of £i315-e'ricumbered hie property, whilst the estimated value of the securities was £.1802.
