THE COLUMBIA SKATING RINK.
There were about 600 ■'[children at s the children's matinee on Saturday afternoon. By advertisement elsewhere it is stated that the rink will be open for to-day only from ton m. till noon for ladies, gentlemen, and juveniles. In the afternoon it will be open from two till five, and at halfpast three there will be a grand polo match on skates. The Garrison Band will be in attendance, under Bandmaster Morris. To-night, at the evening session, Mr. Dixon, champion of New Zealand, will, at nine o'clock, give an exhibition of fast sßating, to be followad by a hoop race, for which there are eight entries. . . 1 ,
