Bevo'ad the discharging of the vessels mentioned on Monday, shipping operations were decidedly slack on the wharf yesterday. there bein but one arrival and one departure. About daybreak yesterday morning the well-known '.railing schooner Mariner came into port from Whangoroa with a cargo of 5.5,000 foot timber for the Auckland Timber Company,, at whose wharf she is now discharging. , -The /.'hree Cheers schooner got away for the I ii unes yesterday, where she is to load up wit ii timber at Hikutaia for Normanton, Queensland. Those who have correspondence to the islands will notice that her i nail time has been extended to 1 p.m. today. At the Customs yesterday the barquentine Jessie was enu red outwards for Whangaroa. She will proceed to that port shortly and fill up with sawn kauri for Sydney. The Jessie Niccol, schooner, is also to load timber for an Australian port. She has been filtered outwards for Brisbane via Mercury Bay.
