A FORETASTE OF WINTER.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Wednesday. We are experiencing winter weather. This morning Pirongia was covered with snow, and between eight and nine o'clock the hail fell, covering the ground as if a fall of snow had taken place. The weather was bitterly cold all day, and about three o'clock p.m. another fall of hail took place. The weather is most unfavourable to the grass and crops. Cambridge, Wednesday. To-day there were several heavy storms of hail, many of the stones being very large. CußiSTCiiunoH, \\ cdnesday. There was a fall of snow early this morning, followed by heavy hail and rain. i
