THE ADMIRAL'S MOVEMENTS.
Admiral Fairfax and party returned from the Great Barrier, by H.M.s. Swinger, on Saturday afternoon. During the stay at the Island, Ports Fitzroy and Abercrombio were visited. Fishing was indulged in, and good hauls obtained. A very pleasant time was put in. To-day the party, consisting of Admiral Fairfax, Mrs. Fairfax, Mrs. Bosanquet, Miss Dundas, Mdlle. Ameris, and Lieutenant Erskine proceed by the Waikato train to the Lake Country, taking the Lichfield route. It is understood the trip will extend over ten days. The Admiral had made his arrangements prior to the fixing of the squadron sports in the Domain for to-day, and will thus be unable, to his great regret, to be present.
