Pedestrianism is rapidly becoming an American hobby, that, like all of its crotchets, will be rirMen to death. It is, however, absorbing public attention and exciting scientific interest by developing the force of muscular power, and demonstrating; the scope of human physical endurance. Great as is the recorded capacity of such heroes as the Westons, O'Learys, Hucilieses, and others, much' more can be accomplished In the way of peripatetic exercise, and if such distances have been overcome in incredibly short periods of time, what may not be achievod after the system has been invigorated by Udolpbo Wolfe's Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps.
