Sydney, January 13. Tub cricket match between Shrewsbury's team and a New South Wales eleven commenced this morning. The looal team were first to take the wickets, but heavy showers <jf rain evsntually put a stop to the play for the day. The attendance was only moderate. So far the scores are:—New South Wales, first innings: McDonnell, 6; Bannerman, 16; Moses, 58; Jones, 0; Allan, 0; Hudderaton, 2 ; Turner, not out, 7 ; Burton, not oat, 0; extra, 1 : 6 wlokets for 99.
