Ngaruawahu, Saturday. Seven fired gallons of milk daily are now beiog received at the creamery here. At Hamilton a thousand gallons daily, and at Paterangi eight hundred gallons daily are being received.

Moerinsville, Saturday. Your readers have not neard the last of the Waitoa goldfields yet. Mr. J. B. Smith will be one of the first to give practical proot of the auriferous character of the soil. A •team engine to provide a water supply has been purchased, and plant is about to be placed on the unsold 1000 acres of that gentleman's farm, in connection with one of air. Cambhidgic, Saturday. Mr. James Macintosh, who is travelling through the Waikato advocating the establishment of an Industrial Bank of New Zealand, addressed the inhabitants of Cambridge tnia afternoon, in the Town Hall, the Mayor ill the chair. The attendance was very thin. At Messrs W. J. Hunter's sale to-day there were a large number of cattle yarded, but only a fair quantity said. Young empty cows, grazing steers, and dairy cows, however, sold freely at fully Ohaupo prices. 300 fat sheep did not sell, and will be sent on to Ohaupo. Ther« was a full muster oi horses : Hacks, £4 to £7 ; medium draughts. £7 to £10 10«, and three unbroken colts, £0 each ; ponies, £1 to 60s ; fowls, 8d to Is ; old potatoes, £3 per ton ; saddles, 30s to £2 2«. Mr. J. McNicol is about to sever his connection with Messrs. Buckland and Co., and start business in Cambridge an an auctioneer on his own account.

Our Helensvilla correspondent writes:— The other day the burlesque, " I'ed Riding Hood," was produced by local amateurs in a very praiseworthy manner, in aid of the Roman Catholic Church funds. This is the first attempt at a performance of this kind in lielensville. It was matter of great sur« prise that the piec* was rendered so well, which certainly deserved the crowded house that greeted the raising of the ourtain. The following took the principal characters:— Prince Hyacinth, Mr. Burrell; Duke Ravens burgh, Mr. Roderick ; Hobblegobblewits, Mr, Donovan; Coujjt Skippendolpti, Mr. W. MoManua ; Baron Poggidolph, Mr. C. MoManus; Queen Amaryllis, Miss Lorrigan ; Bluette (Red Riding Hood), Miss Hand Dame Monica, Mr, Griffiths; Dame Doroghty, Miss Saltans ; and a host of fairies and imps. Miss Lorrigan is entitled to a great deul of praise, not only for the manner in which she took her part, but for the training of the children in th« several dances and marches, which pleased the audience as much as anything. Miss Hand and Miss Ballans took their part creditably. Mr. Burrell, of the gentlemen, certainly deserves the palm, and £ must lay he bas certainly missed his Messrs. Roderick and Donovan were also much appreciated. In fact all passed off splendidly, and the whole afair reflects great credit pa all who had anything to do with it. Father Kehoe supplied the music during the perform ance with his usual efficiency. The per* formulae was repeated on a subsequent night as a aomplimentary benefit to Miss Lorrigan, who hps done so muoh for the different inititution! requiring help.
