At St. Paul's to-morrow the anniversary of the Sanday-sohool will be observed. The Incumbent will preach in the morning; and at the evening service at 7 p.m. the Rev. E. H. Gulliver, M.A., will deliver the second of the course of sermons on "Advent Prophets," his subject being "Jonah." Holy Communion will be administered at 8 A.m. and at mid-day. In the afternoon at 3.15 p,m. the annual flower service will be held, The Right Rev. the Lord Bishop of Waiapu will preach to-morrow evening; in St. Matthew's Church, the servioe commencing at 6.30 p.m. In the morning the incumbent is announced to preach on "Creed and Dogma. 1 ' To-morrow being the first Sunday in the month, there will be a second celebration of the Blessed Sacrament, after matins, in St. Thomas' Church, Freeman's Bay. At the close of evensong (which service now begins at 7 instead of 6.30), the hymn "Dies Irae" will be ■rung kneeling. Seats in this churoh are always free, '
The services at the Auokland Tabernacle will be taken on Sunday by Rev, T. Bray In the morning, and Rev. G. B. Monro in the evening. The preachers announced for to-morrow's services at the Pitt-street Wesleyan Church are the Rev. W. L. Salter in the morning, and the Rev. E. Best in the evening. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated after the evening service. The Revs. J. A. Taylor and T. G. Can 1 will preach at the Grafton Road Wesleyan Church to-morrow at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. respectively. The subject* of the discourses to be delivered to-morrow at the Ponsonby Baptist Churoh by the Rev. J. D. Gilmore are "The Essence of Joy," and "No Difference." At St. Peter's, Surrey Hills, the Rev. Robert Sommerville will oonduct servioe as usual, prenohing upon "Anti-Christian Tendencies " in the morning, and "Following the Lord" in the evening.' Mr. George Aldrldge will deliver a lecture at the Opera Honse on Sand&y evening, entitled " Tradition on Trial," which la a review of a sermon recently delivered by the Rev, R.. Soramorvillo.
Pastor B. L. Thomas, of Mount Edon Congational Church, will dinoourie upon ".Reflection and Reformation," to-morrow. " The Power of tho Cross," and " The Testimony of Physiology to the Existence of God," are the subjects that will bo dealt with by Rev. I. J. Lewis at tho Newton Congregational Church on Sunday. At Beresford-stroet, to-morrow, Pastor Chew will conduct Holy Worship as usual, and preach a sermon entitled "The Three Crosses " in tne morning, his evening subject being " Transcendentalism. "
Dr. O'Callaghan, of tho Epiphany, will take as the subjects of his discourses to-morrow, " The First Christian," and " The Dark Night, the glory whioh oame of it." "Evolution of Man" will be tho subject of Rev. J. 8. Hill's address to young men tomorrow afternoon at threo o'clock in the lecture hall of the Y.M.C.A. Buildings.
The preachers announced for tho Franklin Road Church are : Morning. Mr. F.Baker, of Wellington; and evoning, Miss Belford, At the United Methodist Church, Pittstreet, a juvenile missionary service will be held to-morrow afternoon at 2.30 p.m. Mr. G. Mason will take the chair, and addresses will be delivered by Rev. S. Macfarlane, Mr. D, Clarke and others, whioh will be interspersed with singing and recitations. The ordinary services of holy worship will be conducted as usual at All bain is' to-morrow by the incumbent, Rev. W. Calder.
