MANUKAU ELECTORATE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —I note iu this morning's Herald a letter, over the nom-de-plume of "Old Onehonga," which for ungentlemanly and impotent abuse is a disgrace to the name. Such attacks in the dark, suoh uttering of foul slanders and base insinuations, aptly fit the coward who is afraid to give his name. I am happy to believe that Mr. Osborne's supporters are too respectable to give vent to suoh malignancy.—l am, etc., ANDBKW Buchanan. Auckland, October 5, 1887.
