Your Manures were used upon this Estate for the Turnip crop last season at the rate of lcwfc. each of oiiperphosphate 25 per cent, and Bonedust per acre. The results are very satisfactory, and the crop compares very favourably with that of the previous season, when Lawes' 36 per cent. Superphosphates were used at the same rates. Our Swede crop has been carrying sheep at the rate of 160 per acre per week, and many of the roots weigh up to 14 and lGlbs. ■ ' Yours faithfully, G. L. Grant, Manager. _ ' Panmure, Ist July, 1887. The Freezing Company, Auckland, Dear Sirs, — wish you to know that lam greatly pleased with the Manure which I had from you last March. You will remember that I intended to use Bonedust only, but on your recommendation, and a good deal against my own inclination, I gave a 33-acre field of Swedes at my Te Awamutu farm a dressing of your Special Dissolved Bone Manure. Ido not hesitate to say that the crop has been three times as heavy as I had looked for—that is, three times as much as I had ever grown on the same paddock with any other Manures. Many of the Swedes were 30 inches in circumference. I have also used your Grass Manure on new grass with extraordinary results. The sheep running on this grass have improved very rapidly, and I consider that I have realised better prices for them as a result of the use of the Manure. English Phosphates, costing me £5 per ton more, have not yielded me results to be compared with those I have had since using yours—which is ever since your works started. The Freezing Company, Auckland, Dear Sirs,—Enclosed is my order for Corn Manure, but I shall probably require more by the end of August, and I shall need about eight tons of Manure for T&rnips in December next. lam much pleased with the last lot I got from you. I have a very good crop of Swede Turnips this year. It is carrying 40 steers per acre per week, which, I think, is a very good result, seeing that the manure I used only cost me 12s per acre.
