London, October 4. Advices from Madagascar report that owing to the strained relations existing between the Malagasy Government and the French Resident on that island, the latter has lowered his flag and left Antananarivori.

London, Octber 5.
The cause of the rupture in Madagascar is connected with the granting of an exequatur to the American and British Consuls. A renewal of war with France is imminent.
