BODY OF AN INFANT FOUND.
Yesterday, about noon, two or three boys, who were gathering bones and bottles on a vacant allotment in Darby-street, behind the Thistle Hotel, picked up a piece of brown skirt, out of which rolled the body of ■ new born female child. They informed Constable Martin, who had it removed to the morgue. On examining the body, no marks of violence were visible, further than ft slight discolouring about the face and Heck, small red mark upon the right eye, also a similar mark upon the left eye and left side of neck. The legs were drawn up, and hands raised above head, aud there was a clot of blood on crown of head, navel string was untied, and body unwashed. An inquest will be held to-day at the usual hour, at Gleeson's Hotel, by Dr. Philson, coroner. „^__
