Mr. Goschen lately recaived an influential deputation of members of I arliament and representatives of chambers of commerce to urge the adoption of a decimal currcnoy. The Chancellor of tho Exchequer, in reply, said ho fully appreciated the importance of the deputation. It was evident that a large majority of the chambers of commerce were in favour of tho decimal Currency ; but the change would involve immense inconvenience, and it could only be carried in Parliament after the expression of an overwhelming con senau.i of opinion throughout the kingdom in its favour.
