A GRANDFATHER'S TERRIBLE CRIME.
Lebanon, Perm., Jane I.—William Showers, a cigartnaker, aged fifty-nine years, has been arrested, and charged by the coroner's jury with making away with his two little grandeons, the offspring of his daughter, who is dead. It; is stated thai Showers, who is a widower, had a chance to marry provided ho would send the children away from his home. IJo startod in a waggon with them ostensibly for Tower City, but came back, eaying that the children had run away from him on tho road. Later he told conflicting stories about the disposition he had made of the little ouee. Hβ was arrested, and hie premises were searched. Yesterday the bodies of the boys were found in shallow graves about fifty feet from the house. They were nearly nude. Wound around their necka were ropes, and their skulls wero crushed. The prison ia strongly guarded to *M»«">nt lynching.
