APPLICATIONS FOR PATENTS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN OORIIESPONDENT. ] Wellington, Thursday. Elijah Alms, of Jervois Road, Ponsonby, builder, has deposited specifications for an improved fire-escape, to be called " Aldis's patent safety fire-escape;" Ashley John Hunter, civil enginoer, and Henry Joseph Carson, analytical chemist, both of Auckland, have deposited specifications of their invention for an improved methnd of deoxydizing New Zealand ironsand ; John Chambers, ironmonger, and f>. R. S. Galbraith have deposited specifications of an invention for the same purpose. The latter has deposited specifications for an invention to be called " Galbraith's hydrogen ore roasting process ;" Elizabeth Vialou has deposited specifications for an invention for ointment to be called " Grandpa's Magic Salve."
