MEETING OF LODGE REMOERA, 1710, E.C.—INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS. This installation of Brother Kempt took place last night, and was largely attended, over 100 brethren being present, among whom were Brother G. P. Pierce, P.G.M., 1.C.; Brother Lodder, D.P.G.M., E.C.; W.M. Brother Alfred Kidd and officers of Lodge Ara ; W.M. Brother Allen and officers United Service; W.M. Brother Auger and officers, Waitemata; W.M. Brother Knox »nd officers of Lodge Albion ; R.W. M. Brother T. Mcßae and officers of Lodge St. Andrews; R.W.M. Brother Wm. McCullough and officers of Lodge Manukau ; W.M. if Lodge Wairoa, Star of Far South, and Kodney, besides many others — in all, me of the greatest gatherings of Masters. P.M.'s, officers, and brethren that has been iield for some time past. The ceremony was most ably performed by the Installing Master, Brother Esam, who has held the office of W. M. for the past year with great jredit to himself and the lodge. Brother P.M. Cooper presented the working tools. . Brother Kempt afterwards invested his offi rs in a very able manner as follows : — Brother Coom, S.W.; Brother P.M. Walker, \ J.W.; Brother P.M. Rees George, trea- i surer; Brother P. M. Cooper, secretary; J Brother Walkor, S.D.; Brother Somerville, l.D.j Brother Stitchbury, 1.Q.; Brother • P.M. Hesketh, organist. After the investiture , ;he brethren were invited to a very good 1 iproad provided by the lady friends of the odge, 1 ) and a very pleasant evening was ■ ipent, breaking up at half-past eleven. I The annual meeting of the Corinthian J Liodge, No. 1655, E.C., was held on Tues- , lay at the Masonic Hall, Thames. There ] ivas a good attendance of brethren and f visitors from the sistor lodges at Thames and j Auckland. After transacting the ordinary j jusinesa the chair was taken by Brother ) ?.M. Wright, D.G. Sup. Works, who, < assisted by Brother P.M. Burton, ably £ >fficiated as Installing Master. Brothers yV.M. Newton and P.M. Burton then prelented Brother J. A. Gordon (the carbine ' ihampion of 1382), the W.M. elect, and he 1 vas duly installed in the chair of K.S. The Y.M. then invested the following officers : 3 -S.W., Brother Heighway ; J.W., Brother c P. C. Bayldon; Treasurer, L. Melhose; '' 1.D., Brother Phillips ; J.D., Brother Cart- i vright. The investiture was followed by « lie presentation to P.M. Brother Newton if a handsome gold P.M.'s jewel, the very £ reditable handiwork of Mr. Finlay, of { Jrown-street.
