CRICKET MATCH BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND HA WKES' BAY.

<$, . 'B [BY TELEGRAPH —PEESS ASSOCIATION.] W" Napier, Saturday. '-*■} The interprovincial match, Wellington ■.■ against Hawkes' Bay, resulted in a remark* ably easy win for the visitors. The play . needs no description beyond the statement that Hawkee' Bay was completely outmatched, the Wellington players doing almost as they liked with the bowling, and winning the match by one innings and 102 runs. In the Hawkes , Bay first innings five players got } I into double figures, the highest individual . score being 56, and in the second innings : only four got double figures. Every Welling- ;i ton player but two made ten and over; and ,/ one, Heenan, knocked up the big score of H6. The fielding of Hawkes' Bay was bad, and , with one or two exceptions the bowling was indifferent. The following are the scores:— :'
