THE VILLAGE SETTLEMENT SCHEME.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Rawene (Hokianga), Saturday. The HokiaDga County Council here to-day unanimously resolved to request the Government to set apart ten thousand acres between Kaihu Valley and Mangonui Bluff for village settlements. It is being felt that the success of such settlements ia virtually assured.
