SHOCKING ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
(by telegraph.— prkss association.] New Plymouth, Thursday. A man named Gottliok Raspar was brought in from Midhurst this morning, having stabbed himself in the stomach with a butcher's knife. He had two long wounds, from which the entrails protruded. He lived on a bush section, and was a man with four children. No motive is assigned for the act, but that the man was in a desponding state of mind.
