Dr. Davy gave a lecture on deleterious gases found in mines, and illustrated the proper treatment of persona affected thereby. A. rat was asphyxiated in carbonio acid gas, and underwent the convulsions ueual in snob cases, and when removed from its influence gradually recovered from the paralysis consequent npon its immersion in the gas, and at last ran away. The etudents gave numerous examplee of the work they had done, illustrating the progress made and proficiency acquired under Mr. Montgomery's instructions.
