ECCLESIASTICAL.

At St. Paul's to-morrow, sermons are announced on the following subjects— in the morning, " Reeds Shaken with the Wind ;" and in the evening, " The Four Last Things; No. 4, Heaven," Holy communion wiil be administered at 8 a.m., and at midday Barcby's fine anthem, " The Grace of God that bringeth Salvation," is set down for evensong. " Salvation," the last of the Advent course, on the subject, "Iβ the World Ready for Christ?" will be preached by the incumbent of St. Matthew's to-morrow evening at 7 o'clock. The morning sermon will be on the subject, " A Voice Crying in the Wilderness." There will be the usual 11 o'clock service on St. Thomae' Day (Tuesday), and on Christmas Day (Saturday), of which due announcement will be made. At St Sepulchre's the Rev. J. S. Hill will preach in the morning; and the I Rev. R. 13,. Cousins, of the Melaneeian Mission, in the evening. The Kev. W. Beatty willpreaoh at All Saints', Fonsonby, in the morning.and the incumbent in tbe evening ; subject, " Grace and Fellowship." Mass, Vespers, and Benediction will be celebrated in the temporary church of St. Benedict (old Athenseam site) to-morrow. The anniversary of the opening: of St. Peter'a Presbyterian Church, Surrey Hills, takes place to--morrow, Morning, Rev. A. Oanick; afternoon at three, children's service, Rev. R. Sommerville: evening, the Rev. C. Worboys. Special collections will be made in aid of the Church funds. At Pitt-street Wesleyan Church, the Rev. A. Reid will preach in tbe morning, and in the evening the Rev. H. Bull will preach a memorial sermon on the late Rev. John Whewell. Tke Rev. T. G. Carr will preach at Grafton Road Wesleyan Church to-morrow morning, In the evening, the Rev. R. Bavin will preach & sermon on "The Training of Children, dealing specially with the prevalence of larrikinism and juvenile depravity in our colonial cities. There will be a floral and fruit service at three o'clock to-morrow afternoon, in Alex-andra-street Primitive Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. A. J. Smith. At the Mount Eden Congregational Church, the Rev. W. J. L. Close will preach In the morning on ' "Christian Culture;" evening, " The Gift of Gifts." The Rev. J. Selby, of Dunedin, will preach morning and evening at the Parnell Oomgre* gational Church. At the Congregational Church, Boresfordstreet, the Rev. R. Bavin will preach in the morning, and in the evening the Bev. B. F. M-icniool. At the Tabernacle, Pastor Thomas Spargeon will preach to-morrow morning on " The Disciple's Greatest Joy ;" and in the evening, on " The Great Physician appreciated." The New Church service takes place to* morrow morning at eleven o'clock, at the Foresters' Hall, Newton. Subject, The Way to Mount Zlon." Mr. Trotter and the Hon. G. Waldegrave will deliver addresses at the meeting at the Young Men's Christian Association Rooms this even* ing. "Revelation and Evolution in Relation to Life Here and Hereafter" will be the subject of the Rev. J, S. Hill's address to young men in the lecture hall of the Young Men's Christian Association on Sunday afternoon, at three o'clock. Mr. George Aldrldge will leoture to-morrow night, at the Opera House, on " The Divinity of Christ as Taught in the Scripture." A floral service for children of United Sun-day-schools of Congregational Churches will be held in Beresford-street Church at three o'clock this afternoon, in connection with district meeting Congregational Union. There will be special hymns, and an address will be given by the Rev. W. J. L, Close,
