Thk usual meeting \ol the Crown Lands Board took place yesterday afternooa. Present: Mr. D. A. Tole, Chief Commissioner (iti theohair), Dr. Campbell, J. Baber, W. P. Moat, and Pearoe. Corbehpondbnck.—Letter from Assistant Surveyor-General, stating that he could not recommend any reduction in price fixed for lot 27, euburbs of Kohukohu, applied for by H. Briedsker, The Assistant Surveyor* General forwarded surveyor's reports on lands in the parishes of Whenuakite and Horotiu. Resolved lands be leased.—Alfred C. Yarborough recommended that about 600 acres in the Waikanae No. 3 Block and about the same area in Waimakau block be thrown open for settlement, under the deferred payment system, and such other conditions as the Board might. deem advisable. Referred to Assistant SurveyorGeneral for his report thereon. Mr. Coleraan, solicitor, forwarded application of Thomas Handly for refund of £24 7s 6d, on account of deficient area of 32£ acres, in allotments 52 and 53, Omaha. Referred to Assistant Surveyor-General, to report as to compensation. John Hudson, deferred payment se* lection allotment 334, parish of Waioeka, 5 acres, at £37 10i, was approved. John J as, Broadbent, homestead selection, for approval. 75 acres, section 16, block 4, Opuawhanga. Approved. Applications.—Henry Johnstone, Kauktpakapa, applied to have offered for sale piece of mangrove flat, Kaipnra Harbour. Resolved to lease it for pastoral purposes only under Appendix A, for seven years. No compensation to be allowed. Thos. B. Lewie applied on behalf of Chas. Craig, of Cambridge, that section No. 353 be leased. Resolved that it be sold at upset price, £40 an acre. Application from T. Tebbutt for reduction of price of section 155, Waiuka West; offered £1 per acre for 154 and 155. Resolved to adhere to the price fixed. Thos* G. Donaldson asked to have the land (50 acres) selected by his deceased sister transferred to himself. Grant to issue to applicant instead of his sister. Grant to issue to Edward MoCann for allotment 35 and portion 36, 116 acres, parish of Pupuke for which late application. Hugh Smith applied for four months' leave of absence from his homestead at Pakiri. Reoommended.—George Stubbs applied to have the unpaid instalments on his deferred payment section, section 128, Patutahi, capitalised. Granted. — Rapata Ngatiwai applied for permission' to ent and remove ten kauri trees from Crown land adjoining the Wairahi block at Wuanannki. To be reported on by surveyor. — William R. Matheson applied that seotion 27, block 1, Mahurangi survey district, be offered for sale on the deferred payment system. Agreed. — Application from R. Hobbe that bis Improvements may be allowed for in allotment 223, Parish of Maungatawhiri. Ordered to be offered as fixed by the Assistant Surveyor-General.—Robert Thompson applied to purchase lot 439, section 2, town of Opotiki. No objection.— Thomas Barrett applied for allotment 37, section 2, parish of Opaheke, 5 acres, Maketu ; also from James Pollock, for allotment 16, seotion 1, parish of Opaheke, to be offered for sale. No objection after survey. From Michael Looney, for 50 acres, in the Whenuakite block, Mercury Bay. Deferred to next meeting. From John Burdett, for a piece of Crown land between his homestead selection, lot 89, and the recreation reserve ab Tauboa, under the squaring up clause. To be offered for sale by auction. From William Wade, for 120 acres Crown land, adjoining suburbs of Rangiriri, and including lots 9 and 10 of the suburbs. Tq be surveyed into two or three sections,
