WESLEY AN DISTRICT MEETING.
CONCLUDING MEETING. The concluding session of the above was held at Three Kings Institution, after the examination of the Maori students, on Friday afternoon. Mr. Gittos, convener of the committee on Maori affairs, reported that the committee recommends that Rameka, Maori minister, now at Hokianga, should be sent to the Taranaki-Wanganui country ; also, that Rotorua be taken up, and a Maori-speaking Briton go as minister to Maori and Pakeha. Votes of thanks were given to the secretaries and reporters, and to the president, for his able conduct in the chair. It was the wish of the meeting that the hosts and hostess who had so kindly entertained the ministers and Home Missionaries during their sojourn in Auckland should be specially thanked. The vote was recorded. A hymn was sung, and prayer was offered by Father Wallis and Mr. Reid. The pronouncing of the benediction concluded the business of the Wesley an Methodist district meeting of 1886.
