REV. HENRY LANGLEY'S MISSION.

The committee of the Young Men's Christian Association invited the Rev. H. Langley to conduct a mission in connection with the opening of the new building. Mr. Langley is widely known in Victoria, He is the incumbent of St. Matthew's Church, Prahran, Melbourne, where he statedly ministers to & large and influential congregation. For many years throughout Victoria, New South Wales, and Mouth Australia, he has held successful missions. Mr. Langley is in much request to conduct special meetings. Since his arrival in oar city Mr. Langley has made a deep impression, by his earnest, forcible, and deeply instructive addresses. One cannot listen to him long without being im pressed with the fact that the preacher believes every word he utters, and in a loving, impressive manner, seeks to influence his hearers. Rev. Mr. Langley's address to men yesterday afternoon was largely attended. His text was "Be Men," and he delivered an address full of instruction. He spoke plain words to men, and showed clearly how a man is not fully and truly a man until he is a Christian man. He cited the cases of men who had done great good in their day and generation, such as Wiiberforce.Howard, and General Gordon, and pointed oat that their faith in Christ was the secret of all their success. At the City Hall in the evening Mr. Langley addressed a large audience, taking for his text " Be ye also ready," and delivered a thoughtful and impressive address. An after meeting was held, and many remained to hear another short address. Rev. J. S. Hill, President of the Y.M.C.A., occupied the ohair. Mr. Langley's meetings this week are: Address to business men every day at halfpast twelve to half-past one p.m. and a mission address at half-past seven p.m. To-morrow (Tuesday) and Thursday afternoon Bible-readings will be given, and on Wednesday night the meeting will bo for men only.
