"PROTESTANT."

TO THE EDITOB. &Ie, —Astonishment, indignation, and diegnat followed in rapid succession when I read the grossly untruthful and elanderous letter eigned " Protestant" in your paper of this morning. I wondered that your columns ohould have been opened to this moral assassin to deliver his oowardly stab in the dark. I felt indignant at the diagraoefal use of an . honourable name, and I was disgusted ab the sneak's presumption. How does any one dare to say that our Bishop "does not believe in the doctrine of the Church of England ?" Let him come forth from his hiding place that we may know who this false accuser is, and treat htm as he deserves. Hie whole letter Iβ a tiasue of falsehood and a disgrace to the name of "Protestant," and oan only be fitly characterised by one expressive word, and that is, diabolical.—l am, fto., An English man.
