[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Te Aroha, Tuesday. The gale whioh commenced on Sunday, continued to blow all yesterday and last night, and was the heaviest that has been experienced here for a long time, A good deal of damage has been done to gardens and fences, but the injury to buildings is Blight. Heavy rain has fallen to-day, and the river is in high flood. It is proposed to hold a regatta on the river on the Prince of Wales' Birthday. Muoh interest is now evinced in rowing matters, and as a considerable sum in likely to be subscribed for prizes, the affair is certain to prove s<, success. The opening of the bazaar in aid of the Church of England building fund also takes place on that day.
