A NOTHER ORNAMENTAL AND USE- ■*-*- FUL STRUCTURE TO THE CITY OF AUCKLAND has just been completed in Albertstreot, a little below the Salvation Army Barracks. We refer to the building erectod by Messrs. Smith Bros., to bo used as stables, and which are capable of bedding down 45 horses, together with six loose boxes for the comfort and convenience of those customers who wish their stock well looked after. We notice that in connection with this business Mr. C. W. Langtone, Veterinary Surgeon, has taken an office on the premises, and may in future be consulted there. Mr. Langstone is a vet. of no ordinary qualifications, holding diplomas from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, England, besides which he has had 25 years' experience in America, Australia, and New Zealand. in speying of young and weedy mares, in the speying of cows and heifers, his success has been remarkable throughout the provincial district of Auckland, and the settlers generally can testify to this fact. We would therefore call special attention of farmers and others who desire to study their interest to Mr. C. W Langstone's address at Messrs. Smith Bros.' stables, Albert-street. Another great speciality of Mr. Langstone is the caponing of birds, and this should be thoroughly understood by those who are breeders of fowls, inasmuch as by a knowledge of the art at least 2s per head is placed on their value. It is a wellknown fact thut at the most recherche banquets held in Auckland not a capon has been placed on the table. The improvement in stock in like degree wonld result by farmers speying their cattle. We notice that Mr. Owen McGea is in partnership with Mr. Langstone, and bis name should be a sufficient guarantee that all care and attention will bo taken with stock entrusted to their care, besides which Mr. McGee has large and well-grassed and s»cure pad docks at Otahuhu for the Accommodation of customer;.
