Trenton.— have been called for sinking the shaft, returnable to-morrow. New Shamrock.—The mine manager reports that there are now about 13 loads of quartz in the paddock, and that crushing has commenced at the New Prince Imperial battery. Colours of gold are still being seen in breaking down the quartz on the western aide of the winze. Thk Karangahakb Quartz Reduction Works —Mr. Raiiey reports all work progressing well. Saxon.—The manager reports : Late this afternoon, too late to wire, 151b of picked stone came to hand from the stopes on footwall leader, No. 1 reef, some distance from the stone of which I informed you early in the week, still leaving gold showing in i back of atope. i
