THE STORM AT WELLINGTON
[by TELEGRAPH,PRESS association.] Wellington, Sunday. The weather since Friday evening has been very boisterious, with rain. The only damage reported was that part of the permanent way of the Hatt Railway was damaged, but not sufficiently to interfere with the traffic. A little schooner named the Australian Maid dragged her anchors, and had a narrow escapo of going aahore, but when close on a lee shore her anchors held. Most of the shipping business was interrupted, but the weather has now cleared.
