♦ [PRESS ASSOCIATION.} Wellington, Tuesday. The youth, named H. D. Young, who acci dentally shot himself at Day's Bay on San day, while revolver-practising, died la«( night from his injuries. Christchuroh, Tuesday. At ten o'clock last night a cottage at Spreydon, owned and oooupied by W. Calvert, plasterer, was burned down. The insurances are -.—House, £358 : furniture, £108, in the Standard Office. . Dunedin, Tuesday. Mrs. Irwin died last night from the injuries she sustained by the recent blasting aaoident. At the inquest on the body of the man found In the harbour, it was reoogniied by the officers belonging to the ship Lyttelton, at that port, as John Carr, who oame out in the vessel from London, and had shipped in the Lady Jocelyn.
