Tfi Aroha ping.—Population : Males, 667 ; females, 536 ; total, 1203 (including half-castes, 10 ; Chinese, 2; Maori wives, 1). Dwellings: Inhabited, 264; uninhabited, 55 : total, 319. The population of Te Aroha riding in Piako County by last census (1881) was 127 persons, so that there has been an increase of 1076. Waitoa Riding. — Population : Males, 382 ; females, 251 : total, 633. Dwellings : Inhabited. 135 ; uninhabited, 21 ; building, 3 : total, 159. By last census the population of Waitoa Riding was 128. M ATA M ATA. Population: Males, 59; females, 20 : total, 79. Dwellings : Inhabited, 23 ; uninhabited, 2: total, 25. Last census, 62 persons. Patkt»re and Taotaoroa.—Population: Males, 293; females, 114: total, 407 (including half-castes, 8 ; Maori wives, 2). Dwellings: Inhabited, 143; uninhabited, 3; building, 1 : total, 147. Last census, 206 persons, showing an increase of 201. Total for Piako County: Males, 1401 ; females, 921 : grand total, 2322. The total for Piako County by last census was 981. , OHINEMURI COUNTY. Paeroa Riding.—Population : Males, 309; females, 237: total, 546 (including half-castes, 7 : Maori wives, 1). Dwellings : Inhabited, 106 ; uninhabited, 3 ; building, 1 : total, 110. Population by last census, 244. Waitekauri and Karamgahake Riuing. —Population : Males, 337 ; females, 160 : total, 497 (including half-castes, 4; Maori wives, 2), Dwellings : inhabited, 160 ; uninhabited, 11 : total, 171. Population by last census, 91. Waitoa Hiding.—Population : Males, 44; females, 29 : total, 73 (including Maori wife, 1). Dwellings: Inhabited, 18; uninhabited, 4 : total, 22. Population by last census, 12S. Total for Ohiuemuri County : Males, COO; females, 426 : grand total, 1116. Population by last census, 552. Wiianq *mata Riding. — Population : Males, 136; females, 13: total, 149 (including half-castes, 5). Dwellings: Inhabited, 40. ' Part of Totaba Population : Males, 408 ; females, 231 : total, 639 (including half-castes, 11 ; Maori wives, 2). Both these districts are within Thames County, but included in Tauranga electorate.
