TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB'S MEETING. The above club will hold their race meeting 1 to-day, and as there is every prospect of the weather proving fine, there will no doubt be a large attendance of the public. The programme is a varied one of six events, and the character of the entries and acceptances leaves little room for doubt that there will be some capital sport. The following are the acceptances for the principle events :— Hurdle Race, two miles; st lb stlb Qullp ~ .. 10 6 Rowdy .. The Steeplechase has a most open appearance, but I shall look to whatever beats Quilp to win. The Victoria Handicap is, to a great extent, dependent on the running in the Birthday Handicap, but at tho time of writing I like nothing better than Wapiti. Phaeton. OTAHUHU RACES.
