About midnight one of the city firebells gave a peel or two, but no general alarm was given. The fire proved to be at Parnell, at the rear of the premises occupied by Mr. Hogg, and owned by Mr. Stubbing, corner of Kussell-strect and Scarborough Terrace. The tlame3 looked dangerous at one time, but the fire proved to be only in a cloeet, which was destroyed.
