Gairloch towed away from New Plymouth the barque Halcione yesterday, and is to takft her on to the Kaipara, where the barque loads timber for London. The s.s. Chelmsford, recently purchased by the owner of the s.s. Hannah Mokau, is to replace the lastnamed vessel on the West Coast trade. Tho s.s. Ohau and Herald, which left hero almost together for Oreymouth, arrived yesterday morning. The Colonial Government s.s. Hinemoa is expected to loavo the Manukau for Wellington to-day, conveying there the Auckland members of the House of Representatives. The Union Co.'a s.s. Te Anau, from Melbourne and Southern ports, camo into harbour yesterday morning after a fair run up from Gisborne. .She brings a general cargo and several passengers.
