For some time past the lino of railway extending from Morrinsville .to Te Aroha has been almost completed, and it will be satisfactory to many of our readers to learn that this extension will be formally opened next Monday. A little ceremony will be made over the matter, and the opening trip will be converted into one of the usual railway excursions, which Mr Hudson has been so successful in organising. The train will leave Auckland at half-past six a.m., and Te Aroha will be reached by one o'clock. The arrival and departure to and from intermediate stations are stated in an advertisement in another column. The distance by railway from Auckland ie 116 miles. The train will cross the Thames bridge, and run right into the station-yard at Te Aroha. The time-table has been arranged so as to allow the visitors live hours to see the sights at Te Aroha, enjoy the luxury of the hot springs there, etc. Recently the baths have been extended, and a new spring discovered, whioh is said to be better than any of the old ones. There is ample hotel accommodation, and those who patronise this excursion have every prospect of spending a very enjoyable day. At six o'clock the train will leave Te Aroha for Auckland, It is Mr. Hudson's intention to organise Saturday afternoon excursions to Te Aroha, the train leaving Auokland probably about a quarterpast one o'clock in the afternoon, and returning to Auckland again on Monday morning about ten o'clock, in time for ordinary business. Notice of these trips .will be duly given. Another extension is about to be opened up for traffic. Tho line on the way to Rotorua is getting advanced, and on Monday, the Bth (March, the section from Morrinsville to Oxford will be opened. It is not at present intended to run an excursion train, on that occasion. The distance from Auckland will be 133 miles. After this section is opened up, a new time-table will be in use, and it is the intention of the department to run a train from Oxford three times a week, so as to enable travellers to come from Rotorua to Auckland iu one day. The train on these days will leave Oxford about one o'clock, thus giving travellers ample, time to come from Ohinemutu to Oxford by twelve o'clook, when dinner could be partaken of, and leave by train, reaching Auckland about ten o'clock. These extensions will be a great advantage to the Auckland public, especially those who come here for the purpose of visiting the Lake district. '
