THE LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
■■■" o VICTORY OF THE AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVES. [by TELEGRAPH.OWN correspondent.] Napier, Thursday. To-day was our Cup day, but I think I may call it Auckland's Cup day as well, for our best cup!i go to your city, Mr. Hudson taking the £15 cup for the singles, and Messrs. Carr and Hudson tho two £5 cups for the doubles. Mr. Carr resigned his : single match against Mr. Fenwick, but Mr. Hudson beat him in hia beat form, and in the double your Auckland representatives won 3 sets to love, 18 games to 8 against tho much-dreaded Messrs. Ross. Both your men played admirably, I and in spite of my partiality for our local favourite», I think Auckland well merits the prize 3. [By TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Thursday.
