HOTEL DESTROYED BY FIRE.
[BY TELEGRAPH — mv.\' CORRPSPOfIDKM,] MeuCKK, Wednesday. Mr, Mukkay's hotel at Pokcno was totally destroyed by fire at half-past three p.m. to-day. Very littlo furniture was saved. The lire is supposed to have originated on tho outside of the shiiißled roof and the back portion of the building, caused by some eparke falling from the kitchen chimney on to the roof. The kitchen was a small building at the back of the hotel, whiuh was attached by a hall. The chimney of the kitchen was not as high as the roof of the hotel building. The hotel was insured for £500, The furniture and stock were insured for £-400 in the P«ew Zealand Insurance Company's office. Mr. Murray is considered to be a heavy loaer.
