MR. MASSEY'S LECTURES.
to THE EDITOR.
Sir, —I do not think your correspondent "Credo" can have attended Mr. Gerald Massey's lectures, 1 have; and I understand that he deals with hieroglyphical myths, compared to whose antiquity the Biblical age of the earth, and therefore the Bible, are of mushroom duration. Therefore the ancient mythical legends and astronomical allegories cannot have had the Bible for their source, As I understand Mr. Massey, the Hebrews acquired the legends from the Egyptians, but not having the key to the mysteries, those legends became perverted from the mythical, astronomical, and allegorical character, and were handed down, ignorantly and falsely as historic.—l am, &c., D.
