THEATRE ROYAL.

The comic opera of "H.M.S. Pinafore," at the Theatre Royal, will be withdrawn after to-night. The audiences, which have been numerous each evening since this opera has been produced by the present company, have been thoroughly delighted with their performances, especially with the efforts of Miss Hargrave (as Josephine), Miss Gordon (as Buttercup), and Miss Amy Thornton (as Cousin Hebe), and Messrs. Sceats, Grain, and Fisher as Captain Corcoran, Ralph, and Dick Deadeye respectively, A speciality was introduced into the opera last night in the shape of a tableau, " Rule Britannia," and it proved most acceptable. To-night the performance is to be under distinguished patronage, and a large attendance is anticipated. Though the company may be said to consist purely of amateurs, they have shown themselves in point of excellence somewhat above the ordinary average. A word of commendation is also due to the scenic artist for the manner in which "Pinafore" has been mounted.
