PUKEKARORO. The public school, which had been closed for a period of more than six weeks, was re-opened on Monday, the 13th ultimo, by Mr. Giffney (late of Waikato), the newlyappointed teacher in this district. During the two week? the school has been opened, a very satisfactory attendance has been seoured. The daily muster is close upon 25. These figures do not cover the whole of those capable of attending school, but with the return of fine weather and an improved condition of our roads, the daily average will not fall short of 30.
