At the inquest held on Donald Sinclair, who died from injuries received by a fall on board the Te Anau on the 20th, a verdict of " Accidental death " was returned. INVERCARGILL, Monday.
A child of three years of age namo 1 Ay]mar had a narrow escape .of bei ; killed on the Winton line this morning. A train had palled up to embark a family, and while they were on the carriage platform it started suddenly, and the jerk threw the child off between the carriage and the van, but the guard with considerable alacrity managed to pick it up before the van wheel reached it.
