Pas* aeneera: Misses Rodger*, Braithwaite, Wallace (2), Young, Jackson (2), Mesdames Thomson, Hazlett, Mauran and two children, Messrs. Wilson, Oodgson, Thomson, Wallace, Mauran, Flyger, Moore, Profttt, McGlaahan, Edgecombe, Hill, Trinkin, and 18 steerage.—Union S.S. Go., agents, DEPARTURE. Hauraki, a.*., Harvey, for Waitara.—Master, agent. The Northern Oo.'s steamers Argyle and Rowena arrived from Waitara on Saturday evening, the former with 400 sheep, 3 head of cattle, 3 kogs butter, and the latter with 21 head of cattle and 155 sheep. They both return to the same port this morning. The Union Oo.'s *.s. Rotorua, 576 tons, Captain R. Neville, arrived from the Soufih at 9.45 yesterday morning. The purser (Mr. Sleigh) reports leaving Wellington at 1 p.m. on the 28th; reached Picton at 5.30 p.m., and left again at 11 p.m. same day, arriving at Nelson at 6.30 a.m. on the 29th; left again at 8 p.m., and arrived at Taran&ki at 9 a.m. on the 30th; left again at 0.45 p.m. same day ; crossed the Manukau bar at 8.30 a.m. on the 31st, arriving as above. Experienced fresh northwesterly wind across Cook's Straits; from Nelson to arrival fresh westerly breeze. She leaves again for the South to-day should the English mail have arrived. - The following is a list of the passengers booked by the Rotorua for Southern ports :— Misses Dolmey and Benjamin, • Mrs. Tennent, Mrs. See and 3 children, Mr. and Mrs. Maoready and family (4), Mr. and Mrs. Goxon, Messrs. Denham, J. T. Twohey, Baxter, J. See and son, Harris, H. J. Hulse, Tntham, Bloomfield (2), Masters Horton (2), Captain Sedgebade. The s.i. Oristi, having been detained at Wangaiui, will not leave to-day for New Plymouth, but will leave on Wednesday as usual for New Plymouth and Wanganui. The Hannah Mokau arrived at Waitara on Saturday morning.
