Cambria.Mr. R. McDonald Scott received the following fcskgram last Saturday from the mine manager " 160 pounds sp vimens from underhand stope. Good show left." He reports by letter under date of 29th ultimo that dabs and colours of gold were seen when breaking down the reef at No. 3 level. Darwin.— The mine manager reports under date of 29th ultimo, that 'our pounds picked atone were obtained fe ■: the stope above No. 2 level, and that 'l- re is good mineral in the quartz at No. !'< tevei. ; Prikce Imperial. —The following telegram was received on Saturday from the manager : —" Banked 2140z5. retorted gold ; crushed 206 loads quartz and 100 yoands picked stone." I Colonist. The tKv .rA meeting lapsed iw want of a quorum. [BY TELEGRAPHOWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday evening. : Nsw Prince Imperial.—Cleaning up took place to-day. 206 loads quartz and lOOlbo. picked stone yielded 2120z5. lOdwts. melted gold. : Cambbia.—The manager reports that 1801bs. specimens were obtained to-day from tho intermediate level, and that there is a good show left. , He informs me that colours of gold are now seen in the middle of the reef at No. 3 level. Bright ilk.The winze is down 40 feet, and the rise is up 8 feet, so that about 35 feet I yet remains to be done before communication can be effected. The leader in both places averages four inches, and shows colours of gold freely. . Dabt.—Water is flowing copiously from ttae face, and the manager expects the reef to hand daily. The country is favourable. Moanataiari Extended.—The shaft will be down the depth intended next week. The country is now white sandstone. The manager and surveyor have concluded that the last clay lead—which was four or five feet wide—was the main slide. A cross-cut will now be started in a north-westerly direction from the end of the drive upon the mineral leader just put; in. This will traverse an excellent channel of sandstone north of the slide. The country is now shooting ground. oriental (Otunui). —The reef is now six or B" *en feet wide, and should be payable as some strong colours of gold are seen. NoxiTH Star. This is a private claim in the Te Papa Gully. The proprietors, after drawing 700 ft. at an expense of £50 each, are likely to be rewarded. The leader is about a foot wjide, and blotches and streaks of gold are seen very freely. The mineral is such —copper, blend, etc.that the quartz should crush well. The drive is not yet finished to where the richest quartz is. expected to be found. Two or three winzes were sunk ill the level aboveone of them 45fft.—and the stuff was worth 1§ to 2oz The quartz coming to hand now is much better locking than that, being heavily mineralized. This level will give 120 ft. ol backs. Sharemarket,—Cambria, 7s 9d to Bs, sellers 8s 6d ; Old Caledonian, sellers 3s ; Thames Golden Crown • (contributing), sellers 4s ; Ivanhoe, sellers 3s 6d.
