DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.] Wellington, Sunday. . .. Br a fire at Otaki this morning, the stores of Messrs. Cotterill and William Smith were destroyed. The latter is a Chinaman, and for some time back has carried on extensive business at Otaki. The following , are the insurances : —Building, £200 in the National, £300: in the London and Lancashire, £300 in the.New Zealand"; billiard table, ,£IOO in the Northern ; furniture, £50 in the Northern.
