The Onohunga Naval Artillery met for drill on Thursday evening, fifty-three rank and file and all the officers being present. The men, who were exercised by Captain Hulse, awaiting the appointment of a Government instructor, appear to be determined to learn their drill, and become efficient in as short a time as possible. Ihe premises at present used for instruction are quite inadequate for the purpose, and it is to be hoped the two companies will combine and exert themselves in the matter of building a suitable hall.
Councillor Aiokin has given notice at the City Council offioes that he will move next meeting, " That the orossing in Queen-street at the corner of Shortland-street, be proceeded with."
