WELLINGTON APPEAL COURT.

[BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION^ Wellington', Friday. At the Appeal Court to-day, judgments were delivered in the following cases : — Regina v. Buckley.—ln this caae, which involved the question whether a man can be indicted for resisting the Sheriff, Mr. Justice Johnston read the judgment of the Cou:* , ,, by which the conviction was affirmed, sentence to be passed next criminal session in Auckland.

Regixa v. W. Waring Taylor.—Mr. Justice Willier.as delivered the judgment of the Court in these t>7o cases. In the first, as to whether the sum of £700, obtained from the Bank of New Zealand on James May's account, and misappropriated, bad been enrrusted to him by May, the conviction was quashed. In the second case, the Court held that the Bank share register was properly in evidence, and supported the conviction. Judgment to be delivered at the next sitting of the Criminal Court in Wellington. National Bank v. Mke and Rekd (TimaruJ.—ln this case the judgment of the Court made absolute the rule for a new trial of the 11th, 45th, 46tb, and 47th issues, the plaintiff to have the costs of the rule in the medium scale, all other costs to be settled by the Supreme Court after the trial. Rβ Blogmweld (Gisborne).— The Court allowed the appeal, and referred the matter back to the Bankruptcy Court, each party to bear his own costs in the Court of Appeal, and the other costs to be fized by the Bankruptcy Court. j The Court adjourned till Monday, when judgments in the last two eases, Wilson v. Bank of Australasia, and Soarle v. New Zealand Insurance Company, will probably be delivered.
