THE MACGREGOR FLOATED OFF.
Captain Stefhenson, of the a.s. Wellington, on his trip from Whangarei last night, passed close into Kawau, in order to see how matters were getting on at the stranded Maogregor. He reports that she has been successfully floated off the rocks, and that he could - see her lying in the bay, between the Gazelle and Fanny Thornton. Bis belief is that the intention was to beach her there. Captain Stephenson whistled to the Glenelg, which vessel answered hie whistle, but no boat came off. All hands appeared to be busy, and he could hear the winch going.
